Building the Blue Wave
Saturday June 30 / 10:30 am to 12:30 pm / Champaign Public Library, 200 W Green St, Robeson Pavilion A&B
We know there can be a Blue Wave in November, but we know these things don't happen on their own. We'll dive into the work we need to do before the election in November.
Things we'll cover:
What makes a winning campaign? What makes a campaign?! Have you heard campaign people talking in a bunch of jargon? What does it mean?! We'll do a crash course in Campaigning 101 so you can be an informed and well-equipped volunteer. You will have a better understanding of why a campaign is doing what it's doing.
Voter Protection - election integrity is always a concern but this year more than ever with a potential wave of democratic voters we need to be prepared and educated to ensure the elections in Champaign County follow the law and no one is disenfranchised. There are over 100 polling locations in Champaign County, that's a lot of ground to cover on Election Day, not to mention when early voting is open!
Voter Registration - we'll be rolling out a huge voter registration plan to get us through Election Day and make sure we capture as many progressive voters as possible.
We will review the seats on the November ballot so you know what you'll be voting on.
Get started working! There is plenty to do and not enough time to do it all.
